Pen makers and pen lovers are an interesting group of people. Our fine selection of pen and pencils, fountain pens, ballpoints, roller balls and mechanical pencils, ink cartridges, bottles inks refills for ballpoints and roller balls is a growing family. Our special pen cases are now showing off a lot more models - if you haven't look lately - it's time to take a new look. Shown below are just some of the quality pen lines at read.

We got in a new lighted display case to showcase our growing selection of Graf von Faber-Castell fine writing instruments. Like their goods, it's very classy looking case and shows off      walden pen
the Walden Woods limited edition fountain pen, pencil and other Graf von Faber-Castell pens quite nicely. The Walden Woods Limited Edition Fountain Pen is the newest pen that we just got in from Faber-Castell. The wood is from historic, naturally fallen ash wood from the infamous Walden Woods and has a quotation of Henry David Thoreau in his original handwriting on the barrel. The nib is 18k gold and the other platinized metal parts provide the finishing touches to this Limited Edition. - $750.00

We also brought in some of the colorful pens from Taccia, Fisher Space Pens and Visconti.

We now have the brand new, and very hot (like getting all of the cover of Stylus magazine) Homo Sapiens pen, in a roller ball for $395.00,and a fountain pen for $595.00. It is made from the volcanic lava of Mount Etna in Italy, fitted with a 23crt palladium Dreamtouch nib and trimmed with solid marine bronze or silver. This is one great looking pen, has a wonderful feel to it, and writes like a dream. It also has a very unique feel to it - I guess making something out of volcanic lava will do that.

Here's a strange pen fact - supplies of this pen ran very short in the United States because deliveries from Europe were held up by the volcanic eruption in Iceland.

pen show

Our big happening in the pen realm was our first PEN SHOW on May 22. Our pen selection had been growing as we have been adding entirely new lines, and more models of pens for the lines already here - so it was time to celebrate. There were some great representatives from the following twelve premiere pen lines showing off the newest models and answering many questions the crowd had about fine writing instruments - Aurora, Caran d'Ache, Faber-Castell, Lamy, Libelle, Montegrappa, Online, Fisher, Taccia, and Visconti. There was also a collection of valuable vintage pens on display. We had a very popular handwriting interpreter, Ralph Zackhelm, to analyze the written word ... and people kept saying that he was spot on with his work. This was an interesting time for pen collectors, and those just looking for a good writing instrument. There were some very attractive pens as door prizes and some refreshments to top it all off. We want to thank everyone who helped put this together and also thank everyone who stopped by and made it a fun time.

Keep an eye out for our next Pen Show
happening on December 4th.
